At the beginning of my book, Endo Days I tell the story about the first time I heard the word 'endometriosis'.
I was working at a hotel in Cairns and a friend told me she thought I might have the condition and it started the journey that would see me face frustration and hilarity to get an eventual diagnosis.
That's why it was so exciting when I was invited to Cairns Tropical Writers Festival to perform Endo Days the show and stick around to chat about my book for a weekend in March!
So if you're in Cairns, or know anyone in Cairns who might like a funny, silly and empowering show about chronic pain, tell them to come and see me on International Women's Day at CPAC.
Join the singing support group that aims to educate, empower and ‘endo-tain’ patients, supporters, health practitioners, and community surrounding the one in nine people with the incurable pain condition.
This is storytelling at its finest, with the added bonus of live music and lots of uterus related puns.
Having enjoyed four sold-out seasons at Adelaide Fringe with five-star, rave reviews, followed by shows all over the country, Endo Days is a smash hit and is heading to FNQ.
We love performing this hilarious, moving and entertaining show with original songs by me and my husband Matthew Trainor and four-piece band, The Jarmy Army and we reckon you'll love it, too.
Pop on your Good Jarmies and come and laugh until it hurts in all the right places!
